Weekend swing dances

Ain't Misbehavin' monthly dance at Southbank - Friday 21st February 2020 
7.45pm Beginners taster dance class suitable for all
8pm In the back room, class for experienced dancers
8.30pm-12 midnight dancing downstairs
10-11pm fast music hour downstairs, upstairs floor open with mix of music
£7/£5 concessions

Sun 29th March: Bristol International Jazz & Blues Festival Swing Night!
We'll be at the lovely Colston Hall with the Bristol Community Big Band playing live! Taster classes, demos & performances, and a beautiful smooth wooden dance floor. All part of one of the best music events of the year.

Sat 20th June: Old Duke Swing Festival
Bristol's famous jazz pub holds it's annual swing festival. We'll be there with taster classes & dance demos, there will be 4 swing bands to entertain you and it's all completely FREE! 
The Old Duke pays for everything - please support them by buying your drinks from their bar, service is fast and friendly.

18th-19th July: Bristol Harbour Festival
Bristol's biggest public event of the year - it's been confirmed that we'll have a swing dance slot as usual but we don't know yet which days/times. If you know of any other swing dance / swing bands over the weekend please let us know so we can do out best to avoid clashes.


24th-26th July: Swing Showcase Weekend
We're very excited about this but still working on the final details. What we know so far:
Daytimes - Workshops focused mainly on performance skills
Saturday night - Performance Showcase event organised by Gabriella & Ed. Most of our classes over the preceding months will work towards performances on this night.
Sunday afternoon/evening - A mammoth summer party in the newly refurbished St Michael's on the Mount Without: restoration is currently part way through but it is going to look spectacular!
